Hallberg Rassy 43
Hallberg Rassy 43 (2005) - Sold
The Hallberg Rassy 43 is the most beautiful ship in the HR series, designed by German Frers, fractional Sloop rigged, Owner version (owner's cabin aft and front a double bed in a V. each with a one-suite bathroom). The owner's world circumnavigation was interrupted by the Covid Pandemic and they decided to ship the vessel back to Turkey from Australia, which of course was not the original intention. Refitted and ready to go with a new Volvo Penta D2-75 engine and a whole new rig and many other improvements and renovations were done to make her ready for the rest of the voyage. Alas!
Here are some comments and a list of awards given to this type of Hallberg Rassy;
Europe's largest sailing magazine, Yacht from Germany, issue 21 2001, tested the Hallberg-Rassy 43: "The sailing performance is excellent. The rudder reacts almost without any delay when steering and you get the feeling of a considerably lighter boat. There is hardly a comparable main cabin that gives such a feeling of space. Here you have seating space without restrictions. All in all, the new HR 43 fully meets the high expectations and is one of the most beautiful boats ever built by Hallberg-Rassy. This German Frers design appeals immediately and you will have to search for a long time before you find a better one or a more beautiful boat."
HR43 built between 2001 / 2016 TOTAL 199 boats and have won the following awards:
- Yacht Of The Year in Germany
- Best Mid Size Cruiser in USA
- Best Overall Cruising Yacht in the USA
- Port Boat of the Year in Australia 2006
