Caroff Galapagos 43

Galapagos 43 Wereldzeiler (1979) - Under offer

Robustly built sea sailing vessel, very suitable for long journeys and all weather conditions, but also for (temporary) living quarters. Also comfortable for the colder sailing areas, as the sailing ship is equipped from front to back with 6 radiators controlled by Kabola central heating unit. There is also insulation.

The fully watertight collision bulkhead in the forepeak guarantees maximum safety at sea. The 8 mm stainless steel rigging is secured with Norseman terminals. This ensures maximum shore independence, as no rigger is needed in case of replacement underway. The cockpit offers good shelter in bad weather and because of its central location the boat can be sailed solo. Below deck, everything is equipped for long stays. The self-built interior has plenty of cupboard and storage space. Headroom in the saloon and galley is 1.90 m, bathroom 1.70 m, shower 1.85 m. Sizes of the double bed in the aft cabin is 2 m x 1.20 m.

It is an unusual ship, with which the current owner has made long trips. Over the years, he has completely adjusted the interior to his own needs. A lot of additions and extensions have been made, more for functionality than decoration. The windows all around need to be replaced. The new owner must therefore assume that a few things will have to be done to the boat before he will feel at home in this ship.
