Falcon 44 (2007)
Falcon 44 (2007) - Sold
The Falcon 44 is a fast World sailor, built by the owner in cooperation with Satellite Yacht Design using modern materials, with Satellite taking care of the design. The owner, in collaboration with specialists, took care of the finishing, which resulted in a fast, safe and rigid ship that can take a lot. The fixed and lockable sprayhood with two seats offers comfortable protection in less good weather. With the hydraulically retractable keel, the draught can be reduced from 2.50 m to 1.50 m. The ship has a safe, deep cockpit and a number of lockable compartments. The builder/owner has sailed 26,000 miles in the area from Iceland to Tierra del Fuego.

The open interior has been kept simple and designed for two people. The layout is designed to adequately support the functions of the boat: Directly at the entrance there are two raised berths for good contact with the guard on deck and a good view outside. To starboard are the navigation corner and the head. On the port side there is the spacious galley with all amenities. Further forward is the cabin with table, two longitudinal benches and a comfortable cooker. At the bow a double bed has been created as a sleeping berth in the harbour.

The starting points for the design of the rigging plan are simple operation and high efficiency. The basic configuration consists of a mainsail and a high aspect jib. The code zero is also often used, which is always ready for use on a roller for the jib. A second auxiliary jib can be hoisted in height and possibly a gennaker at the stern or on a retractable bowsprit can be sailed, but this sail is less suitable for short hand sailing. A storm foresail can be hoisted on the cutter stay, and the long waterline with its strong sails and lightweight construction provides high daily averages of up to 200 miles per day. Broker's comment: A beautifully lined, robust no-nonsense boat with special sailing characteristics. The boat needs maintenance after 10 years of intensive use and needs to be renovated and several sails replaced.
