Van de Stadt 34 (Strooker) (1989) - Sale pending

Built by Vreugdenhil jachtbouw together with the current owner. Due to advanced age offered for sale. Well-maintained, fast vessel, built in wood-epoxy. Sails faster than the steel and poyester examples of this design, due to the relatively low weight of the wood-epoxy construction method. Comfortable interior with fore and aft sleeping cabin and spacious cabin. Spacious sailing and navigation equipment. Engine was overhauled in 2022.

Layout: spacious cockpit, cabin has a classic layout, with galley and chart table right at the entrance and passage to the aft cabin. Further forward spacious seating area, with u-settee and longitudinal bench which can also serve as additional berths. Forward, a bow cabin with two berths.

Wood-epoxy: This boat is built in the Strooker construction method: wooden strips glued diagonally over each other. It is strong and retains its shape, beautiful, durable and light, plus it insulates well. Advantage over steel: light and cannot rust. Advantage over polyester: hull does not lose its rigidity, so it always performs well. So no cold feet for this wonderful material.

Recent innovations:

- Engine overhaul ‘22

- Mainsail ‘24

- Deck hatches ‘15
