Perfectly built in aluminium by Garcia shipyard, designed by Mortain/Mavrikios with an interior made by the famous carpenter André Rameau. She is the perfect blue water yacht and in excellent condition, near new and ready to continue. The French Garcia yard is renowned for his strong and convenient world cruisers. The Passoa is an aluminium centerboarder (and daggerboard) which very reliably brings you anywhere with a convenient speed. With a draft of only 1 meter this boat can enter even the smallest harbors.

The yacht has been completely refitted over a number of years and is now in an immaculate condition. She has always been used by two persons and the present owners are the second owner, both owners never lived aboard for a long period. The electronic equipment has been brought up to the present standards with radar, AIS, plotter all in one screen but also connected to a wi-fi system for a laptop or ipad you can use everywhere on board. 

The hull
The hull has been sanded down and repainted in a covered yard. Everything has been removed, windows, electric windlass, winches and all the old teak. The hull has been repainted with an industrial paint (Liber Belgium) in different layers. Windows have been renewed. Teak in cockpit has been replaced by Flexiteak. 

The engine
A new engine Mitsubishi Turbo SQ4 has been installed. Everything in the engine room has been renewed. A new boiler has been installed. The propeller axis and the bearing and Volvo seal have been renewed. 

Sails

Sails are fairly new from 2013, For the mainsail and staysail the extra strong Hydra Net is used. Furter sails: Genoa, storm gibb, gennaker.

Anchoring
There are two main anchors with 60 meters of chain G70 connected to the electric windlass and stored in the center of the boat. A second electrical winch is at the stern has 40 meters of lead line and an additional 60 meters of nylon line. This can also be used for a sea anchor to slow down the boat in case of strong winds.

 

Rudder and centerboard
The unique centreboard construction gives the boat a minimal draft of only 1m (3'). It has a centreboard near the mast and a second daggerboard behand the wheel. This gives the boat excellent upwind capabilities. The bearings of the rudder and the axis of the centerboard have been replced by Delrin bearings.

Heating
There are two heaters installed: a webasto heater and a Reflex diesel heater with a hot water outlet for furter heating. This makes the ship suitable for colder climates. 

 

The galley
There is Rosinox stove using propane or LPG, installation approved 2017. The refrigerator has front door and a top cover for the colder part. The sink has two foot pumps one for sea water one for water from the tanks.
