3-masted Barkentine (2001)
3-masted Barkentine (1955, 2001) - € 425.000,-

This rapid Barkentine is built on the basis of a Dutch lugger. The hull of the old Lugger has been used (with ice certificat) and the rest - deck, iterior, masts - has been rebuilt, and the hull lengthened. The dimensions are impressive: 50m LOA, LWL 39m x 7,80m x 4m depth. The ship is rigged as a Barkentine: three masts, the first of which is square-rigged. Thickness of steel: 16mm keel, hull 10mm and superstructure 8mm. The construction of this ship began in 1997 and was completed in 2001. The sail plan consists of four fore sails, three cross sails for the first mast, forestay two sails, a mizzen and topsails. Most sails are still present.

There is a separation between the guests cabins and dining room and the crew area. In the back is now an captain’s suite, with a large bedroom, a living area with kitchen and a large bathroom with bath and washing machine and dryer. Further to the fore are the crew’s cabins. Still further fore are the guest cabins on either side of a passage. On deck there is a cockpit with navigational instruments and radio corner the steering wheel is placed on a hydraulic platform and can be moved to the roof of the wheelhouse. Further towards the bow is the officer’s mess and the guest lounge / restaurant with plenty of seating and a fully equipped bar.
At the front is a professional galley, suitable for the preparation of restaurant meals. On top of the guest’s day lounge and aft on the quarter deck is a large outside area for passengers to sit.
The technical installation is impressive. The centre of the engine room is a heavy 8-cylinder marine diesel of 400 hp, with only a few running hours. In addition, an 6-cylinder marine generator has been installed for the power supply, and on the other side is a 4-cylinder air-cooled generator. There is an on-board water maker which can produce 2500 liters per day. All valves and filtration systems are duplicated.
Comments broker: This ship has worked for years as a restaurant/hotel. The ship is extremely seaworthy and could serve well as an expedition/research vessel with some adaptations, like converting the large owners cabin into a mess/seating area and the deckhouse to a workspace/laboratory. The present interior is a bit crowded. The style of the interior is classic German. The ship can be sailed with six crew members. The state of technical maintenance is reasonable, but the ship should be taken out of the water and be repainted and surveyed. All licenses have expired.
