One Off - Kuan Yin Lady Victoria Ketch

One off Kuan Yin Singapore Clipper Ketch (1978) - €245.000,-

Unique in her kind, sailing yacht Lady Victoria was baptized in 1978 under her name, "Kuan Yin Lady Victoria" and she sailed out for the first time in December of the same year. Lady Victoria is a one off Singapore Clipper with a hull made of Iroko wood and a superstructure made of Burmese teak and was the first wooden sailing yacht built in Singapore with aluminium masts. The robust materials and the design of the hull make it an ideal ship to sail the great oceans in all conditions. The prefix "Kuan Yin" was rightfully added to her name, it is Malay for "The Immortal".

In her younger years Lady Victoria was exclusively used for long ocean voyages. During this period she sailed from Singapore to Canada, crossed the Atlantic Ocean three times, sailed the Caribbean Sea and visited several places in South America. From the harbour of Enkhuizen, Lady Victoria has in recent years not only been used for day trips on the IJsselmeer, but also for multi-day trips to the Wadden area. The ship has been placed in a Dutch Ltd, which is now offered for sale.

This ship is built from 5cm thick Iroko tropical hardwood. The superstructure is teak, 3,5cm thick. A ship built for eternity. A test report of the hull is available. The ship has a conservative rigging, with pierced aluminium masts. The deck is spacious, with seating for 8 people. The interior is divided into 4 cabins: a main cabin with galley and a spacious sofa with dining table, where 6 people can sit. There is also a second steering position inside and the instrument panels can be found there as well: one for the engine and two for both of the electrical systems (220 and 12/24volts). Further forward is first another cabin with large chart table/desk on one side and a u-shaped bench with table on the other side. The table can be lowered and serve as an extra double berth. Further forward is a sleeping cabin with four bunk beds. One of the beds is over two meters, the other beds are 180cm. In the tip is the combined toilet/shower room with a washbasin on either side. At the back is the owner's cabin with two double beds and a separate shower/WC.

The ship's equipment is impressive. Moreover, the ship has undergone an extensive refit in recent years:
